Our Ministry

Porch de Salomon is a response to God calling a family into a life of love and service in Panajachel, Guatemala. We hope to bring the passion of the first century church to those who live in a 21st century world. In Acts 5, Solomon’s Porch is described as a place for the believers to meet and carry out their healing ministries and a sending point for them to take Christ’s message into the world.

With this idea in mind, God is using us to develop a multi-faceted ministry to reach not only the large hurting population of expatriates, but to help mobilize the volunteer teams and individuals who come to minister to the indigenous population as well.

This will be a safe place where you can be yourself, celebrated as an individual, whether ministering or being ministered to, and know you are part of God’s creation, with purpose in life. We are not looking for divine answers, but are looking to dwell in the mystery that is the life of following Jesus. We want you to find a place where there are no preconceived notions of who you should be, and you can be who you are and join with us in this journey.
